EPIC LED Video Wall Upgrade at Hard Rock Hotel Orlando
We’re thrilled to collaborate once again with our friends at the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando! We initially installed a 3×3 LCD video wall in 2014, but now we’ve upgraded to an EPIC LED video wall. This setup is perfect for rocking out in this iconic hotel and enhances the guest experience. Additionally, the new LED technology provides a seamless display without bezels interrupting the content flow, making videos more immersive and visually appealing. Forget about playing Tic-Tac-Toe with this new setup!
The new LED video wall delivers unmatched brightness. As a result, guests can enjoy their favorite music videos in stunning full HD anytime. This upgrade transforms the lobby and makes it the centerpiece of the hotel’s redesign. At the end of the day, it sets the perfect atmosphere for guests to immerse themselves in the Hard Rock vibe 🤘🏼
The new lobby video wall measures 11.48′ wide and 6.56′ tall. The screen features a 1.8mm pixel pitch, which allows for sharp and clear images at an ideal viewing distance of about 5.5 feet. The automated content management showcases music videos 24/7, adjusting brightness and sound levels throughout the day. In the morning, the music plays at a mellow 20% to 30% volume, creating a relaxed vibe. Then, by lunchtime, the volume increases to energize the atmosphere. Finally, by mid-afternoon, the sound blasts at full volume, with music videos matching the energy and vibe.
We’ve also integrated a video DJ input for weekend lobby parties, creating an electrifying environment for guests. Custom settings further enhance special events like Velvet Sessions, the hotel’s monthly concert series featuring top artists. This integration makes it easy to tailor the experience to any occasion, providing a dynamic and engaging atmosphere for all attendees.

The Vision
When our friends from the Loews Hard Rock Hotel – Orlando approached us to revamp our old LCD video wall that we installed back in 2014, we knew this was the perfect moment to elevate their guest experience with state-of-the-art LED technology. Our goal was to provide a solution that not only surpassed the older LCD video wall technology but also complemented their beautiful new lobby designs for guests to enjoy for years!
The Design
Ascend’s design team chose a 1.8-pixel pitch wall that matched the same recessed area of our last video wall at 11.48′ wide by 6.56′ tall. The 1.8-pixel pitch is not only seamless from just 5ft away but also provides super sharp and vivid images, taking the hotel’s 24/7 music video playlists to the next level!!
This LED video wall not only outshines its predecessors in brightness and longevity but also guarantees seamless performance, eliminating bezels for a sleek, modern look that enhances the lobby’s ambiance. Its robust design allows for continuous operation, perfectly suited to meet the demands of a vibrant hotel environment.
The Install
Our installation team was meticulous, ensuring every LED panel was precisely aligned to create a uniform and flawless viewing surface. Video wall alignment is where you can easily spot the professional installation teams from the others. We designed all of our audio-video systems with service in mind and also included a bank of spare modules, so our 24/7 help desk team can provide quick and efficient repairs in the rare event of component issues. This proactive approach minimizes downtime, ensuring uninterrupted service for your guests.
The Finished Product
Upon completion, your new LED video wall has transformed the lobby into a dynamic focal point, capable of displaying vibrant music videos, and essential guest information, and enhancing the ambiance during events like Velvet Sessions. Guests get to experience content in vivid detail, even in bright sunlight, thanks to the screen’s exceptional brightness and superior color rendition.
