The Osprey Tavern: Elevating Dining with Custom Audio-Visual Solutions

Starting from the Ground Up

Starting a project from the ground up is exciting, and that’s what Ascend Studios did with The Osprey Tavern. Located in Baldwin Park, Orlando, this unique restaurant is owned by Jason Chin, who also created Seito Sushi. Jason wanted a dining experience that mixed innovation with a welcoming atmosphere, and we eagerly helped bring that vision to life.

Complete Audio-Visual Upgrade

Ascend Studios provided a complete audio-visual upgrade, along with lighting and security solutions for The Osprey Tavern. We managed every aspect of the project, ensuring that every detail fit the restaurant’s needs and design. As soon as guests arrive, they experience perfectly balanced lighting and clear sound, setting the mood for an unforgettable meal.

Cutting-Edge Audio and Video Systems

We installed a cutting-edge audio system that delivers immersive sound throughout the restaurant. It’s flexible enough to adapt to different moods, from lively evenings to calm brunches. Our team also placed high-quality video displays that enhance the atmosphere without distracting from the restaurant’s sleek look.

Advanced Security Solutions

Additionally, we added an advanced security system to keep the restaurant both stylish and secure. We worked closely with Jason to design a setup that complements the upscale ambiance while offering essential protection.

A Blend of Comfort and Innovation

This audio-visual upgrade transformed The Osprey Tavern into a space that blends comfort, innovation, and style. We take pride in creating an atmosphere that aligns perfectly with the restaurant’s culinary excellence. At Ascend Studios, we specialize in customized solutions that enhance both guest experience and operational efficiency, and The Osprey Tavern is a great example of that.

Summary

There is a special feeling when you get to start a project from the ground up. That is what Ascend Studios had the privilege of doing with The Osprey Tavern. Jason Chin, owner of Seito Sushi, wanted to bring an exciting restaurant with a twist to Baldwin Park, located in Orlando, FL. We were chosen to do all of the lighting, audio, video, and security for this amazing restaurant.

This project started out as a gutted space located in the heart of Baldwin Park. We had the opportunity to watch it grow into the sophisticated restaurant it is now. The initial wire run was great because we were able to utilize the location of the equipment in the space. Using Crestron control systems, we were able to link the lighting, audio, and video all to our customized Osprey Tavern branded iPad app.

Our lighting system design includes over 100+ LED, halogen, incandescent, fluorescent, and Edison bulbs. The audio system rocks with 46 speakers/subwoofers. The bar area has 3 LED televisions with our custom fabricated ultra slim mounts. The televisions are connected to cable boxes located in the control room rack. All of the lighting settings, music playlists, volume levels and TV channels are controlled from our branded iPad app. Our programmers worked hard to transform a complex system into a clean and easy to use interface for the client, all from an iPad. This empowers Osprey to set that perfect upscale lounge vibe that helps define the new restaurant. Of course, Osprey Tavern has our 24/7 help desk monitoring system for our signature remote support. As a partner, this service is free for the life of their system.

Osprey Tavern’s menu includes a wide variety of delicious farm to table dishes that changes with the seasons. The bar serves a selection of craft beers and plenty of craft cocktails. Make sure to check it out! You can make a reservation here.

Hard Rock Hotel Resort Audio Video System

We recently completed an exciting project for the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Studios Orlando, where we installed a stunning 3×3 video wall as part of their resort audio video system upgrade. This impressive video wall consists of nine 55″ displays while creating a striking centerpiece in the hotel’s newly renovated lobby.

The entire system is powered and controlled by our custom programmed interfaces. This includes all hardware, including video wall processors, audio and video sources. We used durable cat-5 cables to connect the displays, saving our client from the expense of running new power lines. This design also allowed us to integrate the video wall with the hotel’s existing audio video system, meaning the content displayed on the wall can be seen and heard throughout the hotel.

Customized Control with Ascend Studios’ iPad App

At Ascend Studios, we provide custom-branded iPad apps to control all of our resort audio video systems. For Hard Rock Hotel, we completely updated their existing control system and added new features. Now, they have easy control over the video wall, hotel-wide audio zones, and video sources, all with real-time feedback.

The app also includes integrated help files, improved Wi-Fi signal strength, HD graphics, and seamless access to our 24/7 Help Desk support. With our remote monitoring system, we can troubleshoot issues from anywhere in the world, ensuring that the system runs smoothly for guests.

    Resort-Wide Audio Video System Overhaul

In addition to the video wall, our team redesigned the entire resort audio video system, covering the pool area, five ballrooms, and all public areas of the hotel. We replaced outdated equipment from the 1999 installation and installed our preprogrammed DSP processors and Crestron control system. This upgrade provided the hotel with a fully customizable audio system, allowing easy updates and scalability.

The system, controlled via a 10″ touch screen and iPad, includes 96 audio zones, each with EQ, leveling, compression, and individual zone controls. We completed the system switch-over in a single night, minimizing disruption, and had everything up and running before 5 AM.

Key Features of the Resort Audio Video System:

    • Nine 1920×1080 HD video wall displays with remote power and video connections
    • Custom themed iPad app for seamless control of audio and video systems
    • Integration with six cable boxes, a Blu-ray player, and a music video server
    • Full integration with the hotel’s existing audio system
    • Additional high-output speakers and subwoofers for enhanced sound
    • Local video DJ HDMI input for live events at the video wall
    • 96 controllable audio zones with advanced EQ and individual zone settings
    • Free 24/7 access to Ascend Studios’ Help Desk and remote support

This upgraded resort audio video system ensures that Hard Rock Hotel provides a top-tier guest experience, with cutting-edge audio and video technology throughout their property.
